Website shares the passion and the benefits of art for a new generation and their parents Black Beauty Nature Photo for Press ReleaseChesapeake, VA, May 15, 2013– Having discovered the wonders of art as child, Lois Center-Shabazz has now launched her Art Education website ( to bring art, photography and the joys of creativity to young people and their parents.

I know how fun and fulfilling making art can be. As a child, I took great pleasure in designing clothes and drawing. Today, I am able to live as a full-time artist. With this website, I want to give parents and children the tools to be able to learn art and share that time together. – Lois Center-Shabazz

With advice for everything from how to teach art to children, to ideas to help children learn digital photography, the website is full of information children and parents need to learn all manner of art techniques. Everything on the website is free and the advice comes from some of America’s greatest fine artists.

It is my hope that every child will be able to learn to enjoy and create art, their own art, throughout their lives. There is so much to learn and there is so much self-esteem that can come from putting your own vision into the world.  – Lois Center-Shabazz

Born in California, Lois Center-Shabazz began designing clothing on paper at age 12. From there, she began to explore more art while attending to a long career in dentistry.
